WELCOME TO FAMILIARISATION VIDEOS!

Making the unfamiliar more familiar...

Rainbow circle with black triangles inside and a yellow key shape in the centre

We make detailed tour videos of different venues and locations, so that you can see exactly what it's like, what facilities it has and how accessible it is before you get there!

We recognise that many people feel nervous or anxious before going somewhere new or unfamiliar.

Familiarisation Videos will help to overcome that anxiety by giving you the opportunity to have a look at everything a venue has to offer, enabling you to plan your trips more efficiently based on your needs and make the best of a venues facilities.

Our aim is to make the world a more accessible place for everyone!

WHAT IS A FAMILIARISATION VIDEO?

A BIT LIKE SEEING WHAT'S BEYOND THE DOOR,

WITHOUT HAVING TO STEP THROUGH IT...

Familiarisation Videos are detailed tour videos,

that can be used to see a venue or public space before

you actually go there.

We recognise that many people feel nervous or anxious before going

somewhere new or unfamiliar, these Familiarisation Videos will help

overcome that.

We found that new Mums and Dads were anxious about finding somewhere

suitable to take their new born, to feed and change. Familiarisation Videos would

identify comfortable and accommodating venues to spend some time with friends

or other new parents.

For people with a disability or hidden illness, Familiarisation Videos can be helpful to

see what facilities there are and how you will manage your visit. It will also allow you to

see if there is anything you can request to make your visit more enjoyable beforehand.

These Familiarisation Videos can also be used to prepare individuals with conditions

Such as Autism or Dementia. It can also be used to remind them of where they have

already been and what they did.

Familiarisation Videos are created by a passionate team using a prescribed list of

features and facilities that must be included.

Familiarisation Videos include everything from the drop-off point, right the way

through to exit. Some of the things you will find on the videos:

  • Layout of the venue

  • Inside toilets and changing rooms

  • Fire exits

  • Car parking, drop off and disabled parking or parent parking

  • Lifts, stairs

  • Sensory input

  • Doorways and door operation

  • Terrain

  • Disabled facilities

  • And more
